Human Waste Dumped at ODM Offices Ahead of Raila's Visit

It has now emerged that human waste was dumped outside Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) offices in Nyamira and South Mugirango, ahead of opening by party leader Raila Odinga.

The act is alleged to have been orchestrated by Jubilee Coalition supporters who wanted to ruin the function.

According to party officials, the June 10 incident left them baffled after the waste was splattered outside the two offices.

“We had a hectic morning cleaning the mess hours before Raila’s arrival,” a party official was quoted by the Standard.

The waste was dumped on the eve of Odinga's visit who besides launching the offices, was visiting the area to drum up support for the CORD coalition ahead of 2017 General Election.

Nyamira County ODM Organising Secretary, Charles Sagwe, claimed political differences between CORD and Jubilee supporters in the area had occasioned such ugly scenes.

For a long time, the region has been considered an Opposition stronghold until recently when some leaders began leaning towards the ruling coalition.
