Former Citizen TV news anchor Janet Mbugua Ndichu has absolved celebrated journalist and TV host Jeff Koinange from any involvement in her sudden resignation from Royal Media Services.
In a Thursday morning interview at K24, the prominent TV personality termed as sad the rumours that Mr Koinange was the reason she left the media house.
"That was just sad because the decision was made way before Jeff joined so it could not be true," she explained.
She further silenced rumours that she left to join politics and others that indicated she was having a second child stating that the allegations had caused her family to question her honesty.
The 31-year old emphasised her earlier statement that she is taking the time off to pursue a journey of self-discovery.
" It had nothing to do with anyone. It was just about me. I am trying to figure Janet out and spend time with family. It is just a break. As boring as it may sound, It is simply a transition," she reiterated.
Janet left Citizen TV exactly a month ago but did not immediately disclose her next destination.
In her thanksgiving message, she extended her gratitude to RMS boss SK Macharia, CEO Wachira Waruru and Chief Operating Officer Farida Karoney.
