Jesus Look-Alike Spotted in Nairobi Sends Message to Kenyans

A man spotted in Nairobi, who many described as Jesus Christ look-alike, has come out to express fear for his life after his photos in the Capital went viral on social media.

In a Facebook post believed to be of the said man, Daniel Christos indicated that he was overwhelmed by the attention he had attracted.

However, Christos raised concerns of a life-threatening remark in which an individual suggested he be beaten and crucified as the real Messiah.

"I arrived in Kenya less than 2 weeks ago from Ethiopia and have been welcomed with so much enthusiasm like I've never experienced before in my life [sic]."

"Kenyan people in general have been very friendly and loving. Until I find this photo of me circulating online. I feel a little concerned by this person's comments. I don't know who wrote it and I don't know if it was just a joke or if they were serious, but it has made me a little uncomfortable to walk in the streets of Nairobi [sic]." Christos wrote on Facebook.

Mr Christos, who is a traveller, highlighted that the was not Jesus as many had wrongly perceived.

"I AM NOT JESUS! I HAVE NEVER PRETENDED TO BE. I am a traveller who has come to your country as a visitor," he noted.

He urged Nairobians to be keen for the second coming of Christ and careful not to throw hateful comments to the real Lord when he arrives.

"I would hope that one day if Jesus does return you treat him with a little more respect than you have treated me," he advised.

Christos was spotted in Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) on November 23 dressed in a long rob and walking bare-foot through the street.

His long-hair and thick-beard resembled that which has been used to depict Jesus in Christian movies.
