Joho Congratulates Matiang'i for Reforms in Education Sector

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has congratulated Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i for the reforms he has overseen in the education sector.

Speaking in an interview with Citizen TV's Lulu Hassan, Joho was asked to rate the performance of the Jubilee administration since it ascended to power in 2013.

The Mombasa Governor divulged that it had performed dismally in all sectors and he could only remember the corruption scandals that have hit the ruling coalition.

However, Joho stated that out of all the leaders in government, Matiang'i was the only leader who had served the country diligently.

“Matiang'i has done an excellent job in Education… he has brought transparency that had not been witnessed before,” the Mombasa Governor said.

Joho added that Jubilee had only managed to sustain programmes that were initiated by the Grand Coalition Government adding that they had not delivered any new projects.

The Mombasa Governor, who spoke on a wide range of issues, disclosed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have been frustrating him and his businesses.

According to joho, individuals have been ordered not to transact businesses with him by Jubilee leaders.

The governor concluded by revealing that he hoped ODM leader Raila Odinga would win the upcoming General election.
