Journalists Attacked at Pastor Ng'ang'a's Residence

A group of ferocious youth attacked a crew of journalists who had gone to cover a theft incident at Pastor James Ng'ang'a's residence.

The KTN crew was attacked by 'goons' at the pastor's home in Karen, Nairobi with camera man Tom Nyongesa suffering injuries.

According to KTN managing editor Joe Ageyo, the young men also confiscated the journalist's camera.

The assault came in the wake of a suspected robbery in the televangelist's home.

Armed suspects are said to have cut the window grills at around 3:30am to gain entry, making away with electronics and money said to be Sh500,000.

Meanwhile, Pastor Ng'ang'a remains accused of causing an accident at Manguo area in Limuru, that killed a woman Ms Mercy Njeri, and left her husband seriously injured.

He has since been arraigned in court and released on a Sh500,000 cash bail or Sh1 million bond with a guarantee of similar amount.

Other journalists who had gone to cover the story were allegedly advised to seek police escort.
