Jubilee Aspirants Led By Senator Mike Sonko to Announce their Nairobi Gubernatorial Candidate Next week

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has announced that Jubilee aspirants eyeing the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat will unveil their flagbearer next week.

Sonko who leads ‘Team Nairobi’ disclosed to a local daily that the County's top positions will be split between four members of the team who include him, nominated MP Johnson Sakaja, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and Dagoretti South MP Denis Waweru

"We are working on the nitty-gritties with a few experts and in a few days, we will let Kenyans know who in our team will take what positions," the Nairobi senator stated.

Sonko divulged that they would front one candidate supported by the members exuding confidence that whoever is picked the flagbearer will clinch the Jubilee Party ticket.

Sonko added that his tribe should not be used to stop him from contesting for the governor's seat.

"The people of Nairobi are not dumb and I have worked with people from all tribes and anyone admonishing me for not being from a certain tribe is an enemy of the people and progress," Sonko said.

He added that all Jubilee candidates should stop infighting and campaign for president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure he is re-elected.

Deputy President William Ruto has been an avid supporter of the Team Nairobi and has been spotted with them on numerous occasions.
