Jubilee Denies Spreading Fake Letter on NASA Presidential Candidate

Jubilee Party has reacted towards accusations that it 'leaked' a letter which purported the National Super Alliance (NASA) had appointed Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as its presidential candidate.

National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale dismissed the claims maintaining that the Party was not interested in the affairs of the Opposition.

Duale refuted the accusations, which had been propagated by ODM Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen, noting that the ruling coalition had more pressing issues to deal with.

"We have no time and interest in Nasa. We as Jubilee have a party manifesto and a scorecard to measure our progress and cannot waste time with people who have failed to name a flag-bearer,” he stated.

Duale alleged that ODM was already aware of who would be the Alliance's presidential candidate in the August 8 General Election.

“ODM already knows Raila is their candidate that is why they are dismissing the document," indicated the Garissa MP.

Ong'wen when denying the authenticity of the letter had blamed Jubilee for spreading the lie claiming that its intention was to throw NASA off balance.

The fake letter which made rounds on social media on Wednesday indicated that the Opposition steering committee had settled on Musyoka as the right candidate pending ratification by delegates.
