The Jubilee Party has postponed its Nairobi party primaries from Friday 21 April to Monday 24 April.

This was according to a statement availed to the media on Wednesday evening by party Secretary General Raphael Tuju.

It read in part that Jubilee had opted to push forward its primaries due to major representations in the party by the large Muslim Community in Nairobi.

“In response to major representations to the party by the large Muslim Community in Nairobi, the National Executive Committee in consultation with the National Elections Board has postponed the Jubilee Party primaries from Friday 21st April to Monday 24th April”, read the statement.

Jubilee has been rocked by a series of strange occurrences prior to the nominations after at least three aspirants were reported missing in unclear circumstances.

Nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura also claimed there was an assassination attempt on his life and accused his direct rival for the Ruiru Parliamentary seat of being behind the attack.
