A Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Kakamega County was on Tuesday night reportedly caught by residents having sex with a Bishop’s wife.
According to witnesses, the MCA and the bishop’s wife sneaked to a nearby bush while attending a wake at a funeral as the woman's husband was leading the service.
The mourners became suspicious and followed the two busting them in the act.
Bishop Abel Lijoti of African Divine Church, who is the woman's husband and have sired eight children together, divulged that he had been suspecting that the wife was cheating since last year November.
Angry residents demanded that the local politician apologises to the bishop considering the two were neighbours.
However, the MCA refuted the claims stating that some of his colleagues were trying to tarnish his name.
“The propaganda has ruined my reputation, and it hurts me. They claim they busted me with the said woman, whereas I was at my home Tuesday night by 10:00 pm, actually asleep beside my wife,” the county legislator stated.
