Kalonzo Could Join Jubilee - Sakaja Claims

Nominated Member of Parliament (MP) Johnson Sakaja has now claimed that there is a high possibility that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will join Jubilee in the event that he fails to become the Presidential Candidate for the Opposition.

Speaking on Thursday morning during an interview on Radio Maisha, Sakaja said that Kalonzo would not bear being in the Opposition again adding that it would propel him to join Jubilee.

According to Sakaja, the former vice president had assured Ukambani people that he would be in government after the August 8 Election and that could only happen if he was in the ruling coalition.

"Kalonzo is not ready to lose again this time… He will not bear the burden of losing the presidential nomination in the National Super Alliance (NASA ) as was in Cord before 2013 elections," Sakaja stated.

The Legislator added:” This will be the reason why Kalonzo joins Jubilee."

On Wednesday, Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe alleged that Opposition leaders formed NASA to dupe the Wiper Party leader and ensure he never becomes the flagbearer.

Kagwe claimed that NASA was a selfish movement orchestrated to make ODM leader Raila Odinga the presidential candidate and lock Kalonzo out.

"Kalonzo was deceived in 2013 when they even reached an agreement where he would be the 2017 presidential flagbearer."

"He went round and convinced his people to vote for Cord but we can now see that his co-principals are selfish and have instead formed a new outfit to dupe Kalonzo," Kagwe said.
