Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed claims that he met President Uhuru Kenyatta over the weekend in Mombasa County.
Addressing journalists on Tuesday morning at Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi, Kalonzo stated that the reports were malicious and that they should be ignored.
“Reports that I met President Uhuru Kenyatta in Mombasa are malicious and need to to be condemned by lovers of NASA (National Super Alliance),” he stated.
The Wiper leader made the remarks after meeting with Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu and former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.
During the presser, the leaders promised to work together in support of Musyoka who is a co-principal in NASA and has expressed interest in clinching the Alliance's presidential ticket.
At the same time, Ngilu expressed joy at the termination of a Sh8 Billion land case that led to her dismissal from the Cabinet.
Over the weekend, reports emerged that Musyoka had met the President to discuss on an agreement ahead of the August 8 General Election.
