Kenya's hottest police officer has made it public why he broke up with his girlfriend days after pictures of his well-built body went viral on social media.
Speaking during a television interview, Steve Karisa stated that the parents of his girlfriend identified as Melanie became uncomfortable when the online attention went through the roof.
“Melanie before the whole thing struck up was my chic but apparently the parents were not comfortable with all the media thing. They were like, let's have her, you do this [sic],” Karisa stated.
The officer, who is based at Shauri Moyo Police Station, was evasive to admit in public that he was actually single, highlighting that he was hopeful that he would get back together with Melanie.
Information on his Facebook account, however, indicate he is single.
The 28-year old officer became the centre of public scrutiny after a friend posted his semi-nude but fascinating photos online.
Karisa divulged that his Facebook inbox was overflowing with messages and that it was now impossible to add him as a friend.
The officer, now dubbed the hottest cop in Kenya, had earlier expressed that he feared for his job.
"The social media attention has put me in a tough position, I know there is a bombshell that will drop on me which will either lead to a transfer or I lose my job," Karisa stated.
