Starehe MP Maina Kamanda

Starehe Member of Parliament (MP) Maina Kamanda was trending after he dropped out of the race for the Jubilee Party ticket.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Kamanda who was to contest for the Starehe Parliamentary seat against musician Charles Njagua Kanyi aka Jaguar conceded defeat after the Jubilee Party Appeals Tribunal awarded the nomination certificate to the musician.

The Starehe lawmaker declared that he would support the ticket winner adding that he would not ditch Jubilee to run as an independent candidate out of his loyalty to the Party.

Simon Mbugua

Former Kamukunji MP Simon Mbugua was trending after he conceded defeat to incumbent Yusuf Hassan.

Mbugua who was to contest in the Kamukunji parliamentary race against Hassan surrendered the Jubilee nomination certificate stating that he made the decision after consultation with the party.

Mbuvi Ngunze

This topic was trending after Sebastian Mokosz was appointed as the new Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer taking over from Mbuvi Ngunze.

Mr Moskoz previously served as Polish Airlines CEO.

Kenyans on twitter were discussing a new song titled Tuko Pamoja sung by Nicky Augustine. The hilarious song featuring the Jubilee Party elicited mixed reactions with some appreciating it and others criticising it.

Those who criticised the song took offence with part of the lyrics in the chorus where the singer mentions buttocks to insinuate unity.

This topic was trending following the unveiling of HIV self-testing kits and a drug called PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) that lowers the risk of getting (HIV) by up to 90% if taken every day.

The Government on Thursday launched PrEp which is cost free and the HIV self -test kit which will cost Sh800.
