The National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders landed in Wajir earlier in the day for a tour of the county as they seek to popularise the outfit ahead of theAugust 8 General Election.

Led by Raila Odinga, they will hold several vote-hunting forums in the area and address residents on several matters affecting the country.

Those who commented under the hashtag expressed excitement in the visit and the Opposition in general.

The hashtag was fueled following the death of former NTV presenter Janet Kanini.

The 38-year old breathed her last on Saturday morning after a long battle with lung cancer despite earlier indicating that she had fully recovered.

A majority of Kenyans took to Twitter to mourn the celebrated journalist and express their condolences.

Eastleigh

The topic was among the top trends following a video circulated online which showed two police officers shooting a youth in Eastleigh estate.

Most of those who weighed in on the matter condemned the police accusing them of cold blood murder and called for immediate investigation into the incident.

However, others supported the killing claiming that the deceased were members of a deadly gang that had terrorised the area including killing police officers.
