A gang Monday night raided the home of Kenya's Olympic marathon champion Catherine Ndereba and robbed her of household goods and cash.
The unknown gang which is said to have broken into the house after managing to scale Ndereba's Karen home fence also made away with Kenya Prisons uniforms which were in the house.
According to police spokesperson Gatiria Mboroki the marathoner and her family were not hurt by the gang who managed to escape.
Ndereba who announced her retirement from competitive running is still serving as a prison warden.
Investigations into the incident have been launched.
