Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka Hits Samuel Omwando In Front of Raila in Kisii

Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka and his rival Samuel Omwando on Thursday exchanged blows in front of ODM leader Raila Odinga at a club in Kisii County.

Trouble began when Mr Onyonka approached Mr Omwando and questioned why he had hired youth to heckle him in Odinga’s presence at Kisii Sports Club where the Opposition leader was mobilising locals to register in large numbers.

Before he could even respond, he pounced on the aspirant and punched him on the face drawing the attention of other politicians including Mr Odinga.

It took the intervention of Governor James Ongwae, nominated Senator Janet Ong’era and other local leaders to calm down the two.

Bogeka MCA Charles Nyagoto stated that it was wrong for the ODM aspirant to hire goons to embarrass the MP in Odinga’s presence.

“It was very shameful for Omwando to hire rowdy youths to heckle Onyonka.” Mr Nyagoto stated.

The former Prime Minister urged losers to respect winners stating that there were no permanent enemies in politics.

Mr Onyonka had ditched ODM for Jubilee before he asked for forgiveness from Odinga and shifted back to the Orange Party.
