On Sunday two hosts of the popular KTN Gospel show, Tukuza, announced their departures from the program.
The two, DJ Krowbar and Kendi Ashitiva made the announcement during the Live show saying they would be pursuing personal projects.
In an emotional moment DJ Krowbar said that he would be concentrating on TV production and his departure would give an opportunity to young talents to come into the show.
However, news from other sources suggest that the two did not quit but were victims of the recent mass retrenchment by the Standard Group.
Earlier on Monday reports indicated that the oldest media company in Kenya had suffered an 89% drop in revenue.
“It was emotional having to let them go, since we had become a family over the years,” said Tukuza's producer, Mable Achieng.
“But fans need not worry as Anthony Ndiema remains on the show while we will feature various guest deejays,” she added.
