KTN's investigative journalist Mohammed Ali on Monday alleged that he had information on police orders issued to arrest him following his Boxing Day message to Kenyans.
In a social media post, Mr Ali noted that the plan was to apprehend him together with his colleague Dennis Onsarigo.
The Jicho Pevu reporter indicated that the directions were given following his series of online campaigns, calling for a free and fair poll in 2017.
"I hear there are plans to arrest me and my colleague @Donsarigo for asking fellow countrymen to vote for free and fair elections and not just peace next year. Hii Kenya!,” Ali wrote.
Earlier the investigative journalist had highlighted that: "We are not going to ballot to elect PEACE again. The country has peace. Whoever who will want to be re-elected to bring peace will be a liar. We want FREE, FAIR, CREDIBLE, VERIFIABLE and TRANSPARENT poll. Kwa wale huelewa kwa niaba ya miungu binadamu hii ni yenu ya boxing day. Ukichengwa tulia. #MwagaSumuNachukiSasa."
Ali's statements sparked varied reactions with some supporting him while others criticising his remarks in equal measure.
The KTN journalist, who has been at the fore front condemning the Jubilee administration, has expressed interest in the Nyali Parliamentary seat in the 2017 General Election.
