Larry Madowo Finds Himself Registered as Jubilee Party Member

NTV news anchor Larry Madowo was on Friday shocked when he allegedly found himself registered as a member of the Jubilee Party.

Madowo conducted a search on the Office of Registrar of Political Parties' website by submitting his Identification Card (ID) number only to find out that he was a member of the ruling coalition.

Expressing the surprise revelation on social media, Madowo highlighted that he has never registered as a member of any political outfit.

“I've never registered as a member of any political party yet I'm a registered member of Jubilee! Just like I was in TNA in 2012. Outrageous,” the reporter tweeted.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the communication officer at the Registrar of political parties, Joshua Ngala, divulged that such complaints ought to be directed to the concerned party and the registrar.

"The regulations require that when a party recruits you as a new member there is a consent form you need to sign. So anybody with a complaint has a right to raise it to the party to deregister them. That complaint should be carbon copied to us (office of the registrar)," Ngala said.
