Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Chairman Ahmednassir Abdullahi has claimed that Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro
wants to kill him.
Lawyer Ahmednassir disclosed details of the alleged plot to kill him in a letter he personally delivered to Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet.
The threats were linked to a case involving the Tatu City Project in which Ahmednassir was representing Tatu City majority shareholder Stephen Jennings.
According to the senior counsel, he had earlier on tried to record a statement at Kilimani Police station but the police officers turned him away.
The IG, however, ordered the Kilimani Divisional Criminal Investigations officer to look into the matter.
Ahmednassir stated that he was not taking the matter lightly, considering the murder of late businessman Jacob Juma who had complained about similar threats.
