List of Jubilee Politicians who Have Lost in the Nominations

The ongoing Jubilee Party nominations have seen a number of top politicians in the ruling party trounced.

In Nyeri County, Senator Mutahi Kagwe lost to Doctor Wahome Gitari who garnered 26,396 votes against Kagwe's 5,144 votes in the gubernatorial race.

Incumbent MP Esther Murugi got 11,143 votes in the Nyeri Town Constituency nominations losing to Political Analyst Ngunjiri Wambugu who garnered 17,517 votes in the polls tallied on Thursday.

Othaya MP Mary Wambui was defeated by former President Mwai Kibaki's close ally Gichuki Mugambi. Gichuki garnered 20,228 votes against Wambui's 12,524 votes.

In Embu County, incumbent Martin Wambora defeated Runyenje's MP Cecily Mbarire in the Jubilee gubernatorial nominations. Governor Wambora got 60,634 votes against Mbarire's 43,509 votes.

In Nakuru County, Governor Kinuthia Mbugua lost to former National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Chairman Lee kinyanjui who got 78,940 votes against Mbugua's 49,000 votes.

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo was on Wednesday floored by his rival Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu who got 353,604 votes against Kabogo's 69,916 votes during Jubilee gubernatorial nominations in Kiambu County.

In Nairobi County, Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru lost to popular Comedian John Kiarie in the Dagoretti South constituency Jubilee nominations. KJ won the seat after garnering 9,792 against Waweru's 9,052 votes.

In Murang'a County Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau lost in the Jubilee gubernatorial nominations after his rival incumbent Mwangi wa Iria garnered 205,976 against Kamau's119,339.
