Tension was high in Baringo County on Saturday morning after Loyamarok Member of County Assembly (MCA) Kibet Cheretei and Tiaty parliamentary aspirant Pepee Kitambaa were shot dead at an entertainment joint in Marigat town.

The assailants stormed the nightclub located in Baringo South at around 12:30 am and shot the two before they torched the MCA's vehicle.
