US President Barack Obama's half-brother Malik Obama on Thursday night launched a scathing attack on Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohamed.
Malik accused Mohamed of being biased when interviewing CORD leader Raila Odinga during the One on One interview aired on Citizen TV.
In a series of attack tweets, Malik, who is based in the US, described the news anchor as “rude, bellicose and distasteful.”
“Hussein Muhamed of Citizen News is very RUDE! BELLICOSE and DISTASTEFUL! He thinks he is GOD. ALL JOURNALISTS THINK THEY ARE GOD!,” he posted.
During the interview, Mohamed took Odinga head on asking critical questions, especially regarding the current political situation.
The debate elicited reactions with a number of people accusing the moderator of being too hard on Odinga and not allowing him to sufficiently respond to questions.
On his part, Malik compared the popular news anchor to US media houses such as CNN and MSNBC which openly sided with Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton during the recently concluded presidential election.
“Hussein Muhamed interview with Raila Odinga Dec 22, 2016 VERY BAD. He (Hussein Muhammed) is CNN, MSNBC (MSM) COPYRIGHT!!” he added.
On Wednesday, Mr Mohamed conducted a similar debate, this time putting Deputy President William Ruto on the spot to explain the government's development agenda and matters regarding the 2017 General Election.
