David Wanjohi's desperate measure was inspired by shortage of radiotherapy machines at Kenyatta National Hospital, which forces cancer patients to wait for long before being treated.

According to K24, only one radio therapy machine is operational at the hospital.

Wanjohi insists that he will remain chained and without food until he gets support towards buying the machine.

He has partnered with Kenyatta National Hospital to secure a pay bill number to enable him raise the funds, K24 reports.
