Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua on Tuesday caused drama after she refused to express her support for the Jubilee Party during President Uhuru Kenyatta's tour in Kirinyaga County.
Drama began when Deputy Presdient William Ruto introduced her to greet the huge crowd before she was booed and heckled.
Karua, seemed defiant and instead flashed the two-finger salute to indicate that she was still in Narc Kenya and was not willing to join Jubilee.
When the crwod became uncontrollable Karua handed the microphone to Ruto, who told the crowd that the problem was not Karua but urged her to disband Narc Kenya and join Jubilee.
Earlier on after the Head of State arrived in Kirinyaga, they shared a warm embrace with Ms Karua, who has been reluctant to express support for Kenyatta's re-election.
Upon arriving, Kenyatta addressed everyone else but took some time to speak to Ms Karua before they hugged.
Karua, was among the guests who were waiting to receive the Head of State as he began his tour in Kirinyaga County.
The Narc Kenya Party Leader said she was in the county to welcome the Jubilee Party leaders.
"We have unity of purpose, like a home with an honoruable guest," Karua stated.
