Matiang'i to Release 2016 KCSE Results

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i will release the results of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams today (Thursday) at 2:30pm at Shimo la Tewa High School in Mombasa County.

A total of 577, 253 candidates sat for the examinations in 9,158 centres across the country. There were 274,423 girls and 302,830 boys who sat for the exams.

The Education CS has caught many Kenyans by surprise since KCSE results have initially been released in the month of February.

Earlier this month, Matiang'i asked all parties involved in the 2016 KCSE to complete the job before Christmas celebrations.

The exams were done under tough new guidelines that were introduced by the government to curb cheating.
