A spectacle was witnessed in a court in Oyugis, Homabay County as a 13 year old boy was arraigned to face charges of defilement.
The boy is said to have defiled a two-and-half-year-old girl on June 29.
According to The Standard, the prosecution said the incident occurred at the teachers’ quarters of a secondary school where the boy's father is the head teacher.
The girl was also living in the same compound with her mother and uncle.
The boy allegedly lured the girl to his father's their house after her mother had gone to fetch water.
Court room attendants were in shock as the prosecutor gave details of how the standard seven year old boy violated the girl.
He was released on a Sh200,000 bond.
The case will be mentioned on June 22.
