Mohammed Dahir Mohammed Surrenders Himself to Police Over Suspected Terror Link

A man alleged to be on the most-wanted terror suspects' list has surrendered to the police just two days after the security department circulated his photograph to the public.

The suspect identified as Mohammed Dahir Mohammed also had a bounty of Sh2 Million on his head.

National Police Service spokesman George Kinoti confirmed that Mr Dahir had presented himself to the police, adding that the authorities would interrogate him to establish whether he “was indeed the suspect wanted for terrorist links”.

Dahir is believed to be the key agent of ISIS and the Magafe human smuggling syndicate in the country that transports young people to Libya and Syria to join the ISIS terror group.

The police had launched a manhunt earlier this week for Dahir alongside Nicholas Karanja alias Mwangi, who also has a Sh2 Million bounty on his head.

Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, while releasing their photographs in public on Tuesday, described the duo as “armed and dangerous,”.
