MP John Walukhe, ODM Aspirant Exchange Blows at Intercontinental Hotel

Sirisia MP John Walukhe on Tuesday engaged in a fist fight at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi with ODM aspirant Moses Nandalwe, who is seeking to dethrone him.

It took the intervention of other leaders who were present at the hotel to separate the two.

Speaking after the incident, Mr Nandalwe disclosed that the legislator came to the hotel and found him having a discussion with Kabuchai MP Lusweti Mukwe before he pounced on him with blows.

"I was having supper with my friends when Walukhe appeared from nowhere, ignored my colleagues' handshakes and came straight to attack me," the ODM aspirant said.

He added that Mr Lusweti helped end the chaos which had sparked a commotion at the hotel.

Mr Nandalwe said the incident was a result of strained relations between him and the legislator, dating back to 2013 after he lost the Sirisia MP seat to Walukhe.

He also warned the MP stating that: "If this does not stop, I will seek the IEBC's intervention as well as have the matter handled in line with the requirements of the Election Offences Act.”
