Residents of Kawangware in Nairobi are still in shock after a woman set her husband on fire for declining to buy her a dress for Christmas.
According to the neighbours, the woman poured paraffin on her husband and set him on fire while he was still asleep.
The fierce fire fuelled by the exploding gas cylinders then spread to neighbouring houses torching 25 of them. Luckily none of the residents was injured in the inferno that razed down plenty that could not salvaged
The man survived with serious burns and was rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where he was admitted while the wife has since been arrested and taken into police custody for questioning on the matter.
Meanwhile, a Form One student in Nakuru County beheaded an 11-year-old after they argued over a piece of sugarcane.
Confirming the incident, Bahati OCPD Edward Masibo, stated that the boy presented himself at the police station after committing the act.
“The teenager chopped off the head of the 11-year-old minor and dumped it in a compost pit to cover up the act,” Masibo said.
