NASA Will Declare Its Own President if IEBC Tries to Rig Elections- Farah Maalim

Former Deputy speaker of the National Assembly Farah Maalim has revealed that the National Super Alliance (NASA) would declare its own president if the August 8 General elections won't be free and fair.

Speaking in an interview with NTV on Saturday evening, the Wiper Deputy Leader stated that this time they would have their own tallying center to safeguard their votes.

Maalim further stated that they would declare their own president if they noticed any irregularities and bias by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in favor of the ruling party.

" We will have a tallying center to ensure we safeguard our votes and if the IEBC tries to rig the election it is finished, my friend.

"If  we lose free and fair we will accept the results but if they try to rig like they did in 2007 and 2013  we will not accept that decision and we will declare our own president ," he stated

The Garissa township parliamentary aspirant alluded that they would swear in their President like Gambia, Nigeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast did when the opposition felt cheated.
