Family and colleagues were left in grief and shock after a night guard suffered a most foul death, having being attacked by the very dogs he guarded the premises of the company he worked for with.
The Sunday night incident took pace at around midnight when 7 dogs, among them German shepherds and Rottweilers turned on Mohamed Godana, at Smart Logistics where he was working on night shift.
The 30 year-old could not be saved as the dogs were not scared off even by police firing into the air.
The deceased's colleagues say the incident is not an isolated one as they too have been attacked by the dogs in the past, some with bites marks from the attacks.
Speaking to Citizen TV, one of the company directors, Abdul Daud denied allegations saying he had no information in regard to any previous attacks by the dogs.
Displaying documents and certificates, Daud said that the incident came as a complete shock as the dogs had been trained.
He blamed the police for not having shot the dogs t save the Guard's life.
The deceased was buried at Kariokor cemetery.
