Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Monday told President Uhuru Kenyatta that he would make sure no Jubilee candidate wins any seat in the upcoming General Election.
Speaking at a public forum, Joho stated that all the six counties in Coast region were Opposition strongholds adding that leaders who had defected to Jubilee would not be re-elected.
“Any leader who has decamped to Jubilee will also fail miserably next year,'' the governor warned.
Joho went ahead and urged locals in Mombasa to register in large numbers and send the ruling coalition home in the 2017 Elections.
On Sunday, the Governor urged coast residents to be aware of the "bias" being displayed by the jubilee administration in CORD regions.
The Governor, popularly known as 001, cited the example of Central region where Kenyatta wrote off a Sh2 Billion coffee debt yet they were being told to pay for the controversial Waitiki farm given to squatters.
“When they go to Central and Rift Valley region, they call it a development tour. However, when they come to the Coast, it is termed, a meet-the-people tour,” Joho said.
Joho has in the recent past been attacking the Jubilee administration and blaming it for the rampant corruption being witnessed in the country.
