NTV Viewer Embarrasses Kimani Wamatangi After Dismissing Crowd that Welcomed NASA in Meru

Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi was Tuesday morning humiliated by a caller during an interview on NTV for dismissing the crowds the National Super Alliance (NASA) attracted in its recent tours in Meru and Eldoret.

Before the call, Wamatangi vehemently defended the Jubilee Government noting that the crowds were nothing to go by as the polls clearly showed that they were ahead of the Opposition.

"Numbers do not lie. Polls conducted in this country have been very consistent. We are not scared even for a moment when we see people coming out in Meru. We [Jubilee] are not in doubt of who we are, where we have come from and where we are going," the Senator said.

However, the senator's sentiments did not augur well with a viewer from Meru who called during the Live show to rubbish Wamatangi's claims.

The caller told Wamatangi that Jubilee ought to be very careful as the move by the Meru people to come out in large numbers and welcome the NASA team led by Raila Odinga on Monday was a clear sign that the region had moved to join the Opposition.

"We never attended that meeting (in Meru) because we wanted to impress anybody. We did because we are moving with NASA," the caller said leaving the other panellists at the studio bursting into laughter.

"The crowds in Bomet, in Eldoret and in Meru is a true position where Kenya is heading to," he added.

Moments later, another caller put Wamatangi on the spot over Jubilee's 'unkept promises' and the high cost of living.

Also on the interview was Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi, Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo and Professor Herman Manyora.
