Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong’are Okong’o has announced that he will vie for presidency in the upcoming General Election.
Mr Mong'are made the announcement in Nairobi on Tuesday stating, "Kenya needs change and I am that change."
The Senator added: "The present leaders are there for their own benefit but not that of the common man."
Mr Monga're went ahead and promised Kenyans that if elected President in 2017, there would be no marginalisation of minority groups.
However, the Nyamira Senator did not reveal the party he would use in his presidential bid adding that he would announce it after further consultations.
Other sources indicate that he will vie on a Forum Coalition party ticket.
The list of those eyeing the presidential seat seems to be growing larger by day after Lawyer Philip Murgor announced he had joined the race earlier.
