Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Jubilee Party to Hold Nominations At Same Place And Time In Nakuru County

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Jubilee Party will hold their nominations on the same day, at the same venue in Nakuru County.

This is after ODM, through its County Secretary Hilton Abiola, revealed that they would use the gazetted Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) polling stations that had already been booked by Jubilee for their primaries.

He, however, stated that the decision was subject to change depending on what would be deliberated upon in a meeting with top party officials slated for next week.

Abiola further assured aspirants that the exercise would be credible and any level of hooliganism would be dealt with.

"The party will ensure there is peace regardless of where the nomination will be done. The primaries will be free and fair,” the ODM official stated.

Several ODM functions have been marred by chaos, including the shooting incident in Migori in which Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s bodyguard sustained bullet wounds.
