Panic in DP Ruto’s Camp After Raila Sent This Message to Uhuru

ODM leader Raila Odinga has caused panic among supporters and allies of Deputy President William Ruto after he sensationally demanded President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire his deputy over the NYS scandal.

Odinga stated that the mention of two of Ruto’s allies as beneficiaries of the NYS loot was enough reason for the DP to take political responsibility.

He added that if Ruto failed to take responsibility, the President was obligated to act and fire his deputy as a show of his commitment in the war against corruption.

The CORD co-principal was making reference to Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Ruto’s Personal Assistant Farouk Kibet who were mentioned by former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru during her testimony to the parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

“Those two are his people. Kibet received cash. We need to know on whose behalf and exactly how much he received. Ruto cannot continue to walk around and attack other suspects when his own office has been linked to the scandal,” the former Premier scoffed while speaking from Narok.

The ODM leader had attended a thanksgiving service for the election of Anglican Church of Kenya Archbishop Jackson ole Sapit, held at his Olenteem rural home in Narok North constituency.

Also present at the function were Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and aspiring Nairobi Governor Peter Kenneth who defended the Jubilee government from a blanket condemnation, adding that the fault of a few individuals should not be blamed on the entire coalition.

“I have known President Kenyatta since my childhood and I can say that he means well for this country since he is a good hearted person who loves Kenya and would be the last person to want to see it go to the dogs, it is the people who are around him who are failing him,’’ Moi asserted in his speech.

On his part, Kenneth urged Kenyans of all backgrounds to join hands in the war against corruption without politicising the issue.

“It is time for all leaders in Jubilee and Cord to stand up against corruption and not play cheap politics with it, we have seen corruption cases across the board, which means that all Kenyans should stand up against the vice if we want to be a developed country, since we have the potential,” Kenneth affirmed.
