An Administrative Police Officer at Olosios Police Post in Kajiado County will be arraigned in court on Friday for defiling a standard five pupil.
Patrick Musyoki, 39, a married man with three children, was caught in the act by the girl's mother.
The minor confessed that Musyoka lured her with money and that the two had been having an affair for the past three months.
The mother said that she had sent the girl to the shop but the girl took a detour to the officer's house. Upon finding out what was going on, the minor's mother raised an alarm and called the police stationed nearby who arrested the officer.
The minor together with the accused were taken to Nairobi Womens' Hospital, Rongai for examination.
Kajiado North OCPD George Seda confirmed the incident saying that indeed the medical examination results showed evidence that the officer had committed the act.
Cases of defilement have been on the rise in the country with some police officers being accussed of committing the offence.
