Police Report Reveals 9 Al-Shabaab Terrorists Planning Attacks in Kenya

Kenyans have been asked to be on high alert after reports suggested that 9 Kenyan terrorists who had joined Al-Shabaab terror group in Somalia could be headed back to the country to launch attacks.

It is believed that the Al-Shabaab are planning retaliatory attacks in Kenya and police suspect the group of 9 terrorists might be on their way to Kenya or are already here.

“They are reported to be on the way to Kenya or already here to launch attacks from within,” said a confidential police report.

Those named include Habib Karongo alias Jureyj, Juma Were, Mohamed Tajir, Abdullahi Jarso Kotola, Gufu Tari Gufu, Faud Abubakar Mwanswab, Abubakar Abdikadir Abubakar, Issa Abdalla Kauni and Ahmed Said Omar.

Police Spokesman George Kinoti confirmed that security forces are on a high alert after receiving intelligence that the terrorists are planning to strike, once in the country.

“We have to be careful and work with the security agencies to tame plans of these terrorists,” he said.

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have constantly attacked the militia’s bases in Somalia, the most recent attack being on Wednesday near the southern port city of Kismayo, killing an unconfirmed number of fighters and recruits.

Members of the public have been asked to be more vigilant and report any suspicious activities they may notice especially during the Easter festivities.
