Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed that he created the National Supper Alliance (NASA) so that other leaders can join and support him in his bid for the presidency.
Speaking at a public forum in Mumias, Kakamega County, Mudavadi indicated that he is the one who had invited other leaders including Raila Odinga to NASA, adding that he was the best-placed candidate to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I came up with NASA and invited my friends Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, Gideon Moi, Isaac Ruto and others so that they can support me to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Mudavadi stated.
The ANC leader urged Kenyans to register in large numbers so that they could vote for NASA and kick out Jubilee in 2017 Elections.
Mudavadi added: "Jubilee leaders have failed because they are corrupt, inept, have failed to unite Kenyans and are tribal based.”
The ANC leader's revelation comes as a surprise considering he and Odinga only agreed to form an alliance in February next year.
There was, however, no agreement that all other Opposition leaders were joining NASA to back his presidential bid.
Negotiations have been ongoing between Odinga, Mudavadi, Kalonzo and Ruto on how they will distribute the positions among themselves if they come together as agreed.
