Raila, Mudavadi to Unveil NASA Coalition

CORD leader Raila Odinga has announced that he will form a new coalition with Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi.

Speaking in Laikipia County during a meeting addressed by the two leaders, Odinga disclosed that they were preparing to unveil the coalition by February to take on President Uhuru Kenyatta during the 2017 General Election.

The two, who toured the region just days after Kenyatta, stated that they were in advanced talks which would culminate in formation of the alliance.

“They will be surprised with the team that we will put forward. We are preparing ourselves and am sure we shall be together by February,” revealed Odinga.

Addressing a separate rally in Laikipia North constituency, the Opposition chief regretted having fallen out with Mudavadi in 2013 and welcomed the decision for the two to work together.

“My brother Mudavadi, we understand what happened but error is to human and the wrong thing is repeating a mistake. We are now a bit wiser,” added Odinga.

On his part, Mudavadi assured that he was ready to collaborate with the former Prime Minister as they seek to liberate the country from the Jubilee government.

“We want to send a message that we are not enemies and that we want to work together. We have done so in the past and we can do it again,” he asserted.

The new announcement by Odinga could see the much-talked-about National Super Alliance (NASA) comprising of ODM, ANC, KANU, Wiper and Narc become a reality.
