Raila Odinga to be Unveiled as ODM Presidential Candidate at International Delegates Conference

The Orange Democratic  Movement (ODM) is set to unveil the party leader Raila Odinga as the presidential candidate in a glamorous event that will be held at the Kasarani gymnasium tomorrow.

The event will double up as the ODM National Delegates Conference (NDC) that is held after every five years with 3,000 delegates and 1,000 international observers expected to attend.

According to the party's Executive Director Oduor Ong'wen, the event will also be graced by international guests, members of the civil society, National Super Alliance (NASA) partners who will attend as observers and other special invited guests.

He added that the agents will officially endorse Raila as their presidential candidate as required by the Constitution.

"The party is expected to hold its NDC every five years and our party leader will be ratified as the ODM presidential candidate after his endorsement by the National Governing Council at Bomas of Kenya last year," he explained.

The endorsement comes after NASA announced the former prime minister as its preferred presidential flag-bearer with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate.
