Raila's Sister Begs CORD MPs

Kisumu Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga has accused Members of Parliament affiliated to the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) of failing to support her brother Raila Odinga, in his fight against graft.

Ms Odinga said the MPs had left Raila to be defamed by junior politicians in the Jubilee Government, instead of joining him in the anti-graft war.

She further urged Opposition MPs to stop conducting petty campaigns and raising issues during funerals instead of doing so in Parliament.

“I want to urge CORD MPs to put their priorities right and refrain from performing duties meant for Members of the County Assembly such as carrying out campaigns for ID and voters card registration,” said Ms Odinga.

Raila's sister further clarified that she would not be a running-mate but would go for the gubernatorial seat in 2017.

The Kisumu County Deputy Governor, was speaking over the weekend during the burial of ODM activist Joseph Obado Bonyo at Mbeka village in Bondo Constituency.
