A worship crusade came to an abrupt stop in Mosoriot, Nandi county after angry residents stormed the crusade accusing the pastor of insulting the Nandi's traditional rite of circumcision.
The residents set the dais on fire and threatened to lynch the pastor and the congregation in what they said was a disrespect to the Nandi community.
The pastor was accused of allegedly calling the rite 'devilish'.
According to The Standard, the pastor was rescued by police officers who arrived at the scene immediately.
