Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Friday warned that Deputy President William Ruto was being used to popularise President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party before they dump him.
Speaking during a fundraiser in Baringo, Moi stated that Ruto was making more enemies across the country and it would in the end destroy his reputation and limit his chances of becoming the President in 2022.
"Instead of preaching peace and unity for the people of this country, Ruto is preaching divisive politics, that in the end will ruin his own reputation," Moi stated.
The Baringo Senator asked the DP to "wake up and smell the coffee" or consider leaving Jubilee before he ruins his reputation and political career.
Moi also claimed that KANU was becoming more popular in the Rift Valley stating that it would be a force to reckon with in the upcoming General Election.
"People are spreading rumours that KANU has no plan. I agree with them... We have no plan concerning their issues. Let them continue with their plans as we work on ours," the senator affirmed.
Other leaders from KANU, who were present during the fundraiser, echoed Moi's sentiments stating that they will not support Ruto's presidential bid in 2022.
Moi has in the recent past claimed that Ruto had been trying to compel leaders in the Rift Valley to join Jubilee against their wish.
