Four international artists are set to treat Kenyans to exclusive fun this Sunday in a mega event to be held in Nairobi.
The country's leading telecommunication company, Safaricom is once again set to host this year's International Jazz Festival 2017 which promises to be one of the most standout events of the year.
The festival, which will take place at the Kasarani Training Grounds on February 26, will bring together the four international jazz maestros in a performance that will also feature local artists.
Top of the list will be David Sanborn, an award-winning US saxophonist whose style of music blends jazz and instrumental pop.
The event will also be graced by Arun Gosh, a music composer from Britain, TaxiWars band from Belgium and Israel's Hazelnuts who are known to sweep their audience off their feet with electrifying performances.
Lovers of jazz music will also be entertained by Raymond Lema Nzinga, popularly known as Ray Lema, from the Democratic Republic of Congo and South African-based Bokani Dyer Trio.
Celebrated Kenyan bands have also been lined up to give a taste of the country's jazz acts and will be led by Mwai and the Truth Band, Nairobi Horns Project which brings together five seasoned instrumentalists and Shamsi music.
Tickets for the festival are going for Sh2000 for adults and Sh500 for students and are available at select Safaricom shops, through m-ticketing by dialing 1511 and at the Michael Joseph Centre.
Proceeds from the event will be channeled to Ghetto Classics, an organisation that uses music education to provide the youth with opportunities to better themselves and the community.
