See How Co-operative Bank Helped Kenyans in 'Njaanuary'

The dreaded January is finally over and for most people, February the first must have seemed like the glittering light at the end of the tunnel.

As many walk into the new month head high, having conquered the Njaanuary monster, one of Kenya's most popular banks is rejoicing to the fact that it was able to make a significant difference in the lives of Kenyans.

Under the drive Ease the Burden, the Co-operative Bank of Kenya offered other options to its customers to ensure they enjoyed favourable deals in January.

The campaign involved using alternative options made available by the bank such as MCo-op cash, Co-op Visa Card & Credit Card and Kwa Jirani Agent to pay bills or do shopping after which their customers were eligible for incredible prizes.

Four of their clients were awarded shopping vouchers, seven walked away with a goat each, laptops were given to eight while another seven enjoyed free smartphones.

Apart from this, the bank's quick loans offered through its mobile banking platform MCo-op Cash also came as a relief to a section of Kenyans this January.

The loans require no paperwork at all and you can get up to Sh200,000 at an interest rate as low as 1.16 percent.

At a time when many complained over the many days the month had, Co-op was definitely working to ensure their customers were cushioned from the Njaanuary wrath.
