CJ Mutunga Surprises Kenyans With this Message

Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga on Friday surprised social media users after sending out an Easter message in Sheng.

In his Happy Easter message that excited many, Dr Mutunga asked his followers to enjoy themselves but refrain from law breaking as the Judicial officers were not at work.

The message got many talking, with some opting to engage the Chief Justice in sheng to presumably weigh his command for the city dialect.

While Mutunga's tweet amused many, a tweep questioned who was tweeting for the CJ, and in a quick rejoinder, Mutunga affirmed that he was conversant with the language mainly popular among the youth.

@Ogwamor. I can write SHENG and broken English too! Do not be enslaved by Queen's English!

Some Kenyans online hinted that, the friendship between Dr Mutunga and Kenyan musician Juliani, best known for his lyrical prowess in sheng, could be behind the new 'swag' in the president of the Supreme Court.
