Senate Staff Linked To Masterminds of Explosions In Nairobi

A Senate staff accused of plotting a terrorist attack on Parliament has been linked to two terrorist attacks in Nairobi.

Mr Ali Abdulmajid Ahmed who has been in custody since April 26, 2015, has been linked to the masterminds of the  Roysambu attack and Pangani Police Station explosion the Nation reports.

According to the Anti Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) Mr Ahmed's call data records illustrate that he was in communication with terror suspects Ahmed Ali, Abdul Rahaman and Adam Hillow.

Ahmed Ali is said to have been involved in the Pangani Police Station explosion where two police officers were killed, while Raham and Hillow were involved in a terrorist attack at Roysambu in December 2010 where two hand grenades were hurled at two traffic police officers, killing them.

The suspect has also allegedly been involved with Martha Edward a terrorist who was arrested in Majengo on July 19, 2014.

Resident Magistrate Eddah Agade has set the case for mention on May 13 to allow police more days  to interrogate the suspect.
