Senator Boy Juma Boy Told Me Raila Must be Made NASA Flagbearer - Johnson Muthama

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama sparked controversy during the funeral of Senator Boy Juma Boy in Vanga, Kwale County on Monday after he claimed that Boy’s last wish was to ensure ODM leader Raila Odinga was made NASA flagbearer.

Addressing the mourners, Muthama alleged that he spoke to the deceased on his hospital bed and his dying wish was to ensure Odinga became the next President of Kenya.

According to the Senator, Boy claimed that the former Premier was the only person who had the capability to send the ruling coalition home among all the Opposition leaders.

“Boy told me to ensure that Baba (Raila) wins in the August election. I asked him why ... but he said that Baba is a very clever person and no other politician can match him,” Muthama said.

The Senator further added that he had witnesses who were at the hospital to prove his claims were true.

Muthama’s statement is said to have angered Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who also wants to be the Opposition flagbearer.

After the meeting, Musysoka is said to have met Wiper leaders in Mombasa and scolded Muthama over his comments.

According to wiper leaders privy to the meeting, Senator Hassan Omar also gave Muthama a tongue-lash for apparently disrespecting Musyoka in front of other leaders.

Odinga, Kalonzo, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi are each fighting to be the NASA presidential candidate.
